- Beck's Light
- Red Stripe (also good with a lime)
- Dos Equis Lager (the Amber's a delight, too)
- A tie between Leinenkugel Red and Abita Amber (the Abita is a new discovery & much easier to find around here than the Leine's Red)
- Blue Moon Honey White (not so much a fan of the Belgian White)
Okay, open thread now....everyone post your faves....I'm in the mood to experiment.
UPDATE: I hope to god that no one references the new Michelob Ultra Pomegranate Raspberry.
I like pomegranates. I like raspberries. I like beer. Do NOT, however, combine all three.

In no particular order...
Stone Ruination IPA
Bells Two-Hearted Ale
Bells Hopslam
Bells Oberon
Columbus Pale Ale (nostalgia)
My bet is that you can't get any of those in Atlanta/Decatur.
You live in a good beer region. Go to Classic City Brew to learn more.
Can't get any of those here...and I was really looking forward to anything with the word "Ruination" in the name. I'll have to seek that out when I'm at home in KY (they distribute there).
Terrapin IPA out of Athens, GA is pretty good. I always forget to pick it up, though. I'm not a fan of most of Sweetwater's brews (the main ATL brewery). The local favorite, Sweetwater 420 (pale ale), is too boring for my tastes.
I never drank a lot of Columbus Pale Ale while in OH....my C-bus years were wasted on Rolling Rock, PBR, Molson (various) and Iron City Beer (ahhhhh, $1 beer at Bernies...).
They call it "Ruination" because it ruins your taste buds for the rest of the evening. It has to be the hoppiest of the hoppy imperial IPA's.
Ah...hoppy in a good way? I don't like Sweetwater 420 because it's "hoppy in a bad way," if that makes sense. Hoppy-boring, not hoppy-interesting. Now, I'm just slap-hoppy. Gotta go.
1. Smithwick's
2. Guinness - but I have to be in the mood for it
3. Killians - when the bar doesn't have Smithwick's
4. An awesome German Pilsner that I can't recall the name of but rarely ever found in the U.S. anyways
5. Blue Moon
I need to go back to the hard stuff, though - I think some of my excess weight since college came from those empty beer calories. ;)
Thanks for the list C!
Smithwick's is good. I'm just not a Guinness girl, though. Unless it's part of a "Black & White Trash" or "Black & Blue" (Guinness/PBR). :)
I hear ya on the calories.
1. Avery's Maharaja Imperial IPA (*that* is the hoppiest of the imperial IPAs)
2. Scott Giles' homebrewed "Dirty Blonde Ale". I have the recipe, I have the equipment, I just happen to live in another country.
3-5. I have no intention of sorting these, as I don't believe in top 5 lists: (alphabetically)
- Bluegrass Brewing Co's Bourbon Barrel Stout
- Fat Tire
- Hoffbrauhaus Munich (or Newport, KY,Vegas, or someplace in Florida) - Maibock
Hrmm... I like hops. A lot.
I think it's just the beer that does it. It's not alcohol, but try Cricket Pomegranate Raspberry Green Tea. It's a carbonated beverage that's surprisingly delicious, but hard to find.
